Prevail has specific layouts for many law types, including but not limited to Social Security Disability, Veterans Affairs, Worker’s Compensation, Personal Injury, Family Law, Bankruptcy, Collections, Criminal Defense, Estate Planning, Immigration, Loan Modification, Long-term Disability, Probate, Railroad Retirement.

Switching between them is automatic, based on the matter. Need access to a Social Security matter? It displays with the Social Security Disability layout. Then need to switch to viewing a matter for Personal Injury? Just call up the matter and it will display with the PI layout.

We can also design a custom layout just for you and we are constantly trying to improve the ones we have, through feedback from our clients.

The New Prevail Cloud is Here

We have started rolling out Prevail Cloud options for existing clients and new users who want to transition from their local networks or other cloud provider to ours. Our new Cloud offerings are powered by Amazon Web Services to SOC 2 Type 2 data security compliance standards and offers a 99.9% uptime. No third party, the new Prevail Cloud is maintained by the Prevail team and parent company Assure.

There are two plans to consider. Both cloud plans require an upgrade to Prevail 9. The upgrade can be performed before or after the cloud services are set up.

Prevail Cloud Standard

This is our basic offering and requires that you run a normal Windows PC with Internet access. Prevail, MS365, and Adobe icons are placed on your PC. When you select these apps, they will automatically stream to the cloud service. It will seem like you are just executing a local app. The downside is that you can only do this with Prevail, MS365 apps, and Adobe. No other apps can be installed, though you may continue using local apps. To access from another computer, that computer will also need to be setup to connect by our tech support team. Includes security, auto backups of Prevail data, and 24/7 support for Prevail and Cloud services.

Prevail Cloud Premium

This is what most clients choose. It allows for a fully virtualized desktop in the cloud where you can install any apps, data drives, scan folders, etc. This allows connection to your environment from any RDP-enabled device, so a thin-client (simple PC) is all that is needed, as most of the heavy lifting is done on the server side. Macs that are RDP enabled also qualify. Includes security, auto backups of Prevail data, and 24/7 support for Prevail and Cloud services.

Once again, we are offering regular open webinars that focus on popular Prevail features, starting in January. Webinars are $75 each, but you can include any number of employees. Click the link above to sign up.

Report Designer – Learn how to use the new Report Designer, that allows clients to create their own reports in tabular form and export the data to Excel. Reports can be shared to individual users or across your organization. Filter, sort, group, and pick what you want to include.

Document Designer – Learn more about creating merge document templates, including enhanced document merge features available only in Prevail 9.

Process Builder – Prevail’s workflow, and one of the most powerful parts of Prevail. Create workflows, assign any number of things to a step including appointments, tasks, merge documents, or even other workflows. This is what makes your firm operate consistently and automates many functions. With a little training and some practice, clients can improve their operations immensely.

Questionnaires – With an Intake Questionnaire, build a script of questions to ask potential new clients, and upon completion of the questionnaire, a new prospect is created in Prevail. Fields can be populated, and related parties attached, on the Matter tab, based on the prospect’s responses to the questions you ask. You can then use an Update Questionnaire to add/update info in an existing matter/prospect, such as when you are preparing for a hearing, or even as an “exit interview” at the close of the case. 

EREtrieve for SS Firms (free Webinar) – Automate your interaction with the Social Security Electronic Records Express site. This streamlines your work considerably and ensures that ERE data is placed in the correct matter. Receive daily hearing status reports, upload data to a claimant’s electronic file, download exhibit and media files. Webinars for EREtrieve are scheduled for January 17th at 10:00 am and January 20th at 2:00 pm. If you would like to participate in this free webinar, please email smontgomery@prevail.net.

Client Portal (free Webinar) – Efficiently and securely communicate with clients via a web-based portal that connects to your Prevail database. Exchange messages and files, share matter status, and receive contact information updates (which automatically reflect in your Prevail database) from your clients. All communication through the portal is displayed on a new Portal tab in Prevail, and can also be viewed from the History tab. Exclusively for Social Security Disability firms. Automate your interaction with the Social Security Electronic Records Express site. This streamlines your work considerably and ensures that ERE data is placed in the correct matter. Receive daily hearing status reports, upload data to a claimant’s electronic file, download exhibit and media files. Files are given an automated table of contents, and files can be OCRed (Optical Character Recognition) so that they are searchable.

Prevail can help, through our partnership with Insurance Branch! Insurance Branch reaches out to your awarded clients when their Medicare enrollment period approaches to explain the Medicare benefit as well as answer any questions.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Insurance Branch doesn’t sell Medicare plans; they educate about Medicare. About half of the clients they speak with don’t need a Medicare plan selection, but just a better understanding of their Medicare coverage. How do they do it? They verify your client’s Medicare eligibility and reach out to your clients when their enrollment period begins. They provide an overview of their Medicare coverage and field any questions. Lastly, if the client would like an agent to assist with Medicare plan selection, they refer them to one of their trusted and vetted insurance agency affiliates.

HOW DOES PREVAIL FIT IN?
Prevail’s integration with Insurance Branch makes referring your SSD clients to Insurance Branch quick and easy! You simply enter the client’s award date in Prevail and check a box. That’s it! Prevail does the rest of the work for you by uploading contact information for the clients you have marked for submission to Insurance Branch on a weekly basis.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
There is no charge to your firm nor your clients for the Insurance Branch service nor the Prevail integration.

IS THERE A BENEFIT FOR MY FIRM?
Yes! Most importantly, you’re providing a valuable service to your clients by putting them in contact with experts in explaining Medicare coverage, and fulfilling your obligation to completely educate them about all components of their SSD award.

Your firm will also receive compensation for each referral you make to Insurance Branch, regardless of the client’s Medicare plan selection. For each referral you make whose Medicare eligibility date is 4+ months in the future, you will receive $100. A sliding scale is also paid for clients who are already receiving their Medicare benefits.
